Having practiced law for over twenty years, Naomi’s practice has focused on all areas of employment law, including representing employers in single plaintiff cases and collective actions and working in the Employment Law Department at The Home Depot where she gained invaluable business experience. As a partner at Smith Moore, Naomi uses her employment litigation background and business knowledge to advise her clients on a variety of employment law matters, such as day-to-day workplace issues, policies and handbooks, discrimination complaints, wage and hour issues, investigations, layoffs, discipline and termination matters, severance agreements, restrictive covenants, and training.
After leaving The Home Depot in 2008, Naomi continued her employment law practice while at FSB FisherBroyles, LLP, and also developed an employment law mediation practice. While employed at The Home Depot from 2001 to 2008, Naomi’s responsibiilities included managing employment law charges and litigation in eighteen states throughout New England and the Midwest; providing employment law advice to her business partners and Human Resources; and developing and managing a company-wide position statement legal review process. Prior to working at The Home Depot, Naomi practiced employment law at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker from 1993 to 2001 where she represented employers and some plaintiffs throughout the country. From 1986 to 1989 Naomi practiced general litigation at Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee in Waco, Texas, while her husband was stationed at Fort Hood with the Army JAG.
